Virginia Beach, Va. – The Wisconsin track and field team kicked off the NCAA Indoor Championships with a strong showing on Friday, highlighted by Taylor Kesner’s national championship victory in the women’s weight throw. The Highland, Ill. launched a personal best throw of 77 feet, 1 ¼ inches (23.50m) to secure the title. Her performance not only earned her First-Team All-American honors but also set a facility record and replaced her second all-time in program history. Senior Chloe Lindeman finished sixth with a throw of 74-7 ¼ (22.74m), earning First-Team All-American status as well.
