Chris Zwettler is retiring from his position as Athletic Director and boys head basketball coach at Madison Edgewood at the end of this school year. Zwettler has served in those roles since 1989 and is one of the winningest boys high school basketball coaches in Wisconsin history with a record of 482-304 in 33 years. He led the Crusaders to the 2002 Division 2 State Championship. Zwettler is a 1975 graduate of Madison West High School and played college basketball at UW-Platteville. After serving as a boys high school basketball coach at Stockton, Illinois, Zwettler became an assistant coach at UW-Platteville under Bo Ryan. Zwettler was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2017.
