Dubuque is getting its first-ever professional arena football team. The Five Flags Civic Center General Manager Aaron Rainey said the venue will be the home of the Iowa Power. The sides reached an agreement this month after nearly a year of contract negotiations. Rainey said he hopes the high-scoring, fast-paced 8-on-8 football generates excitement in the community. While the season schedule is still in the works, tickets for Iowa Power games will start at $10. Games will start in August. Iowa Power players and staff will be at Gary Dolphin’s bar in Dubuque on January 15 at 6pm for a “Meet the Team Night.”
