Fall sports at Platteville High School will go ahead with their traditional seasons. The Platteville School Board voted Monday night to keep fall competitions for its teams at their usual times of the year. The move now means Platteville High School will have football, volleyball, cross country and soccer as the semester begins. A final vote on the motion passed with 6 in favor, 2 against and 1 abstaining. Part of the motion included that the district will adhere to safety guidelines created by the WIAA. Districts state-wide had to notify the WIAA by today (Sept 1) regarding what – if any – competitions they’d be participating in this fall.
